Terms of Service

1. The service

timer.new is a web-based timer with optional Pro features (AI Focus Coach, named rooms, unbranded embeds, saved sessions). By using the site you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. Acceptable use

Don't do any of the following:

  • Abuse our infrastructure (excessive automated traffic, scraping, DoS).
  • Use shared rooms or embed widgets to harass, threaten, or spam others.
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, or repackage the AI Focus Coach output as your own product.
  • Anything illegal in your jurisdiction.

We can suspend access for violations.

3. Subscriptions (Pro / Teams)

Pro is $6/month or $48/year. Teams is $12/seat/month. Billed by Stripe in your chosen cadence. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless you cancel before renewal. You can cancel anytime from your account → Manage billing. Pro features remain available until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't refund partial periods unless required by your local law.

EU/UK consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from initial signup, except where you've actively used the AI Focus Coach (consumable digital content). Email support@timer.new to exercise it.

4. Service availability

We do our best to keep timer.new up, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. Don't use the service for anything safety-critical (medication reminders, surgery, oven timers you can't double-check). It's "the timer site," not a medical device.

5. Intellectual property

The service, its design, code, and brand are owned by us. Your account data (saved sessions, room state, your prompts) is yours; we hold a license only to operate the service for you. AI-generated session plans are yours to use however you'd like.

6. Liability

The service is provided "as is." We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €100 if you're on the free tier. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that can't be limited under your local law.

7. Changes & termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to signed-in users 14 days before they take effect. You can terminate at any time by deleting your account. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts of Zurich, Switzerland — unless your local consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your home jurisdiction, in which case those rights are preserved.
